Happy Cat-tober! This week in story time, we will be celebrating cats. Stop by the Coeur d'Alene Library to pick up this week's craft, which will allow your little one to work on their motor skills by weaving a paper sweater for a cat. We have a new way for you to access books and crafts for children at the Coeur d'Alene Library! Simply fill out this form and tell us what theme you would like and for what ages. We will pull a curated selection of fiction and nonfiction books for your child and create a craft to go along with the theme. We will notify you when your personalized On the Go kit is ready to be picked up. It will be held under your name. On the Go Kits are only available to be picked up at the Coeur d'Alene Library. Please allow 72 hours for us to curate your request! https://forms.gle/RaZJzbFp5G9gLWLc7 In addition to the personalized On the Go Kits, we will still have Craft Kits, Science Kits, and our Take and Learn Snack Packets available. Our letter of the week is "C." What words can you and your child think of that begin with "C"? Discuss the different sounds "C" makes, such as how sometimes it makes a hard C or "K" sound, like in "cake" while other times it makes a soft C or "S" sound, like in "cent." Continue the learning at home with this week's Preschool Story Time worksheet. It is available below as both a PNG and a PDF. A hard copy of the worksheet can also be picked up at the Coeur d'Alene Library!
